Zenith UFO 1950s Yellow Gold Large Case 40mm

This a funky and rare manual wind Zenith watch that dates to the 1950s. The case is big, measuring 40mm and made in 18k yellow gold. The watch has very short, unimposing lugs that give the watch a clean circular aesthetic that you cannot help comparing to a classic 50’s sci-fi UFO ! The case is beautifully finished around the outer edge, with a deep lip that has a hammered effect on the gold. The original dial has large applied baton hour markers and non-lume hands. As is a signifier of the watch’s UFO credentials, the dial features an applied Zenith star logo. On the wrist its thinness is cool and the watch lies really large and flat. We love it…it’s out of this world! The manual-wind movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and the watch comes on a Bulang and Sons leather strap.
