Rolex Oyster Perpetual Semi-Bubbleback 1950s Ref 6108
This is a very cool vintage so-called Semi-Bubbleback 34mm Oyster Perpetual. These watches are still relatively deep, with rounded case backs like the early Bubblebacks and Ovettones. Seen as the pre-cursors to Explorers, these dials are wonderful and scream vintage cool on the wrist!
The case is in great condition, with lug holes on one side only. The original dial has applied hours with Arabic numerals at the quarters, lovely dagger hands and a blued seconds hand. The dial has some radium burns as is very common to see on these watches. The watch will come on an Oyster rivet bracelet reference 7205 with a clasp stamped ‘2 66’ and 57 endlinks. The automatic movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
