Rolex 1675 Gilt Dial GMT Master Faded Insert
Rolex sports watches from the 1960s have, what collectors refer to as, gilt dials. The name comes from the gold-coloured text, which is actually the brass dial plate showing through the glossy finish that was printed in relief.
The gilt dial in this watch retains its mirror-esque glossy finish, but there are some minor flaws around the 11/12 and 6 oclock area that are evident in certain lights. The steel case is in brilliant condition – it’s super nice and super fat! The watch has a beautiful fat font insert that has faded to a blue jeans and peach hue…it just looks awesome! The Jubilee bracelet, reference 6251, is in great condition with a clasp stamped ‘4 60’ and ref 55 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
