This remarkable world time watch, featuring a moon phase complication and an rich dial, was produced in a limited edition of just 1.300 examples to commemorate Patek Philippe’s 175th anniversary.

 

It comes as no surprise that our team, particularly Berend Bulang, has a deep appreciation for Patek Philippe’s World Time watches. The 5575 features a stunningly rich black dial, with a captivating star/moon phase center that creates an unmatched beauty. What sets this reference apart from other world timers of its era is the moonphase complication at the center, displaying a realistic drawing of the moon, an impressive feature within the world time movement.

 

The case is distinguished by its luxurious yet sleek lugs and elegant lines, uniquely crafted for this anniversary model, giving the watch an incredible depth. Every detail, from the delicate gold hour markers around the stars to the overall case shape, crown, and stylish hands, comes together beautifully, giving this watch a unique charm that truly stands out.

 

As with all Patek World Timers, the watch features the Louis Cottier system, showcasing 24 globally significant cities that represent the 24 principal time zones, with Geneva replacing Paris on the outer track. The reference is rendered in Patek Philippe's signature grey gold, perfectly complementing and adding a sporty touch to this elegant beauty. The watch is accompanied by beautifully created set of accessories te celebrate the 175th anniversary of Patek. The presentation box, or in this case presentation cabinet remains in new condition. All the paperwork including the sales papers and booklets remain in nos condition, with even the shield to celebrate this special watch sealed in the original folder and never opened. It also comes with a unique custom folding clasp engraved with the years 1839-2024, celebrating Patek’s 175 years, as well as a closed case back adorned with the same signature. This particular example remains in outstanding condition, as it has seen very limited wrist time. Due to its collectibility and pristine state, having barely been worn, we have decided not to service or open the case.
