This is a rare version of the iconic Patek Philippe Aquanaut, that was a transitional model between the first model reference 5065 and the later reference 5167, unveiled in 2007 to mark the model’s ten-year anniversary.
The watch has the later style dial but retains the early 38mm case size which collectors love. The watch was only made for a couple of years and so is highly sought after by collectors. The steel case remains in outstanding condition and houses the Calibre 324 sc automatic movement.
The dial surface of the 5165 was much less pronounced than earlier versions and the Arabic 3 hour marker was removed. Our dial is in flawless condition with luminous applied Arabic hours and large lume filled hours and minute hands. The watch comes on a long length black rubber strap that is fitted with the original folding PP clasp.
This cool and rare Aquanaut is accompanied by an Patek Philippe extract of the archives stating that the watch was sold in 2008. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
