We are offering for a sale a Dodane Type 21 fly-back chronograph that was issued to and used by the French Air Force,as confirmed by the case back engravings – FG stands for ‘fine de garantie’ which indicated when the watch would next need a service. The “type 21” chronos were made especially for the French air force:The steel case had to measure 38mm across , the dial had to be black with Arabic numerals and had to have a fly – back function. This watch has a that dial remains in mint condition with painted Arabic numerals. The lume in the markers and hands are in perfect condition. The black paint has worn off the numerals on the 12-hour bezel, but this adds to the watch’s vintage and military-issued charm! The movement is a manual wind Valjoux 235 with fly back chrono function. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
