This Tank is a silver case that has been gold plate and remains in great original condition. The cream dial features painted black Roman numerals and a so-called railroad track. The blued steel hands and blue cabochon winder are both classic Cartier signatures. This is rare and sought-after example with hand-wound mechanical movement. The case back is engraved “10 Jahre Wochen Spiegel” which leads us to believe that the watch was a ten-year service award to an employee of the German newspaper Wochenspiegel.
The watch is fitted with a Bulang and Sons leather strap with a gold plated Cartier folding deployment clasp. The mechanical movement has been checked and regulated and by our watchmaker.
