This Breitling Super-Ocean 2005 is maybe one of the rarest watches we have offered. The reference 2005 Super Ocean is known as the ‘slow chrono’ due to the fact that the distinctive diamond-shape chronograph measures minutes instead of seconds, the perfect diver’s chrono! What makes it extra special is that the dial is signed both Breitling and Lip – as the saying goes “find another”!
LIP was a French Retailer and watchbrand and still in business as a watchbrand today.The watch is housed in a typical-of-the-era Breitling 42mm case that is in good, strong condition. The original dial is in superb condition and features an aperture in the bottom half that indicates whether the chrono is disengaged (black), running (full cream) or stopped ‘in position’ (half black, half cream). This Super Ocean also benefits from having the original ‘Large B’ Breitling winding crown. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and will come on a Bulang and Sons strap.
